As a result, there is much less building occurring which results in less construction jobs. Although, according to the Associated General Contractors, construction jobs are still being lost on a monthly basis, it seems the losses are slowing when compared to last year. This may be good news for current apartment homes in Arizona because less building means less competition. As for now, I suspect the apartment management firms will continue to offer great specials and lower rents until the occupancy levels increase. For a list of current rental rates seperated by area in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area visit http://www.aptfind.com/ranges.html.

Phoenix Luxury Apartments - Arizona Luxury Rentals

Phoenix Luxury Apartments - Luxury Rentals In Arizona
Apartment Finders, established in Arizona, has several luxury apartment homes for rent in Phoenix Arizona and it’s surrounding cities. Apartment Finders has made sizeable contributions to the Phoenix Children's Hospital in the past and one year ago decided to start its own community acton program called Apartment Finders Family. Found at http://www.apartmentfindersfamily.com, Apartment Finders Family is a means to giving back to the local community one step at a time. Although Apartment Finders feels the Apartment Finders Family idea will grow as time goes on, Apartment Finders has been helping make a diference in Arizona, one family at a time. From providing furniture and gifts, to providing electricity to residents, and now to donating Turkeys for Thanksgiving, Apartment Finders enjoys the gift of giving back.

Apartment Finders started the idea by receiving referrals from past renters and leasing agents at apartment communities and Apartment Finders wanted to do something in return. So, instead of paying for those referrals, which is illegal in Arizona, Apartment Finders decided to instead make a donation to local charities in the name of the referring party. People really appreciated seeing that their referrals were making a difference and therefore would refer more and more renters to Apartment Finders' free service. So if you would like to make a difference just let someone know about that free service and see how much of difference we can all make together.

Apartment Finders is based in Arizona and has five retail locations throughout the Valley. Moving is tough and nobody likes to do it, but if it saves you hundreds of dollars and free months worth of rent, isn't it worth the hassel? I think so. Now, the only decision is whether to rent a home or an apartment? Right now there is no stability no matter which way you turn. But, I can assure you that apartment owners are much more responsible and have much deeper pockets then the average real estate "investor" that is trying to rent out one of their homes. There are many benefits to renting a home like your very own yard work, calling repair men or the home's owner every time something breaks, the occassional pest because you do not want to have the home sprayed, etc. etc. So rent a home or an apartment? Well, apartments are offering severly reduced move in costs meaning you may not even have to pay any security deposit if your credit is decent. Also, apartments offer additional months of free rent, some are offering new TVs, computers, and the list goes on. It seems that the "investors" have not caught on yet and will more than likely ask you for one month's rent as a deposit and the only break you will get is that ancient dishwasher the owner never replaced. So here it is. If you would like to rent an apartment then simply call Apartment Finders Free Service or visit http://www.aptfind.com/, but if you want a home to rent then here are some great respources.

Vacation Rentals posted by the Home Owners - http://www.vrbo.com

Another Vacation Rental Site - http://www.homeaway.com/

AZ Property Management and Rental Homes - http://www.gorenter.com/

Rent Vine Homes Condos Townhomes - http://www.rentvine.com/default.cfm?cs=84

Houses for rent in Arizona - http://www.rentalhouses.com/find/AZ

Residential Property Management - http://www.desertwide.com/

The Golba Group Homes - http://www.azhousing.com/

Guides for Relocating to Arizona or Anywhere

Sterlings Best Places - http://www.bestplaces.net/

The Riley Guide (Hundreds of Resources) - http://www.rileyguide.com/relocate.html

Take the quiz at Find Your Spot - http://www.findyourspot.com/

United States City Trends and Data - http://www.city-data.com/

Where does the City you Live in Rank? - http://www.cityrating.com/

VALLEY BUSINESSES SELECTED FOR APS MENTORING PROGRAM
Academy’s 12th Class Underway

Fifteen Arizona companies have been accepted for the next APS Academy for the Advancement of Small, Minority and Women-owned Enterprises (AAAME), which is scheduled to begin today.

The purpose of this program is to teach small-business owners the skills necessary for their companies to succeed. A new program, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program, is underway for the City of Phoenix. With many people lossing their homes, jobs and their rentals, several cities throughout Arizona have applied for resources offered by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. It appears that the City of Phoenix has been funded for the program and are starting to help those in need. If you are on the verge of becoming homeless or are already evicted then this program may be for you. For more information you may visit our website at http://www.aptfind.com/hprp_phoenix.html. See the City of Phoenix case workers to apply for funding and enroll in the program. It seems my competition is posting just about every other minute and now even apartment communities are starting to post frequently. Because I track the visitors to my website I do know that posting has an effect, but how much? With all the spam on Craigslist, are many renters searching the available housing anymore? I know it is still a very powerful, free marketing tool but I am thinking now that I would much rather have Craigslist charge then to have it so difficult for a renter to find what they are looking for. If Craiglist simply charged $25 a posting, like their job postings in Arizona, then maybe the spammers would lay off and I would not have to be one myself to compete. Think about it Craigslist owners, more money for you and less Craigslist housing SPAM. Sounds good to me and terrible to my competition!

Top 10 Reasons to Use an Apartment Locator versus an Online Apartment Search

# 1. Home foreclosures are on the rise and unemployment is as well. What does that mean? More people being evicted from their apartments or foreclosed on their home. Although there are not many housing options if the there is no income, there are options if you are getting back on your feet. More and more apartment communities are forgiving items in your past and moving forward. What does this mean for you? Even if you have had an eviction in the past, have a judgement on your record, or are or have been foreclosed on there are still apartments that will rent to you. It is a daunting task trying to find them but rest assured you can always speak with an apartment locating company, such as Arizona's Apartment Finders, to narow down that search. Locators work with all sort of credit and backgrounds so give them a call. They offer a free service and nobody can agrue with FREE!

Tax Day...Social Networking Helping to Organize "Tea Parties"

No matter your political affiliation I do not know a single person that enjoys Tax Day or paying taxes for that matter. I just got into Facebook recently and I can really see the effects of Social Networking. People who I thought would never accept me as a friend are accepting and even writing me notes. There is really something to be said about this and it is really showing its effect with the "Tea Parties" going on nationwide. Since the governement is already starting to take control of private enterprise, how long until they get a stronghold on social media? It's a good question and hopefully never. Only time will tell.

Lastly, I should really plug my brother's Tea Shop in Phoenix and Scottsdale while I am at it. The good news is it seems I am not the only Illinois native here in the Grand Canyon State. Everywhere I go I run into someone else from the Windy City. People are coming out of the woodwork and even more so now that there was a huge news story this past week. Yes, its true, Chicago now has a quarterback and maybe even one to stay long into the future. Only time will tell if Jay Cutler, formerly of the Denver Broncos, will be the quarterback of Chicago's future but I can tell you there are some very happy Arizonans that are glad the trade was made. Those are Arizonans with roots from Chicago of course and we are in great company. GO BEARS!

Jury Duty

I understand that Jury Duty is our civic duty and something all citizens should be at least ok with if not honored to serve. But... is it just me or does the system seem a bit unfair? Lets take my wife for example. She religiously gets called upon every year and a half to serve whereas others we know have never received a summons once in their lives. As for my personal experience, I served on a jury for five weeks a couple years ago. So, in Arizona, if you have to serve you cannot be called upon for a year and half. Shouldn't that mean that I should not be called upon for about 37 and 1/2 years? I think so, how about you?

Relief for some - Bad news for others - Arizona Bethany Group Properties

Well it appears many of the Bethany Group Managed and owned properties have been turned over to receivership and taken over by new management. That is great news for all the current resident that no longer have to pick up all their things and move. The bad news...
Many workers at the properties have not been paid for months and may not receive any back pay. Our complements to those that stuck it out and did not up and leave along with their employer, The Bethany Group. It is such a shame but it is hard to blame the Bethany Group when bills just cannot be paid any longer and there is no equity for leverage. Lastly, who knows about current tenant's security deposits. It could be a complete loss for those residents and a bit of a surprise when they move out and realize that they are not getting their deposit back. It is a tough situation all they way around but all in all, it could have been a lot and I mean a lot worse.
To read more visit:
http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/local/articles/2009/03/20/20090320receivership0320.html

Soft Rental Market in Arizona, but why?

Foreclosures in Arizona, and across the U.S., are up and loans are harder than ever to come by for buyers, so doesn't that mean that apartments should be filled up with renters? Not exactly. Actually, the foreclosures have created an opposite effect where renters are leaving apartment homes for single family homes. The over abundance of vacant homes and the over-built apartment complexes have created a soft rental market in Arizona and many apartment communities are feeling the effects.
Apartment owners are now having to drastically reduce rents and offer enticing specials to lure renters through the doors. The signs for specials are dusted off and out at the complexes for what looks to be the long haul. It may be a while before buyers begin repurchasing all these single family homes and until they do, apartment owners will be in competition for all those renters.
For more information about Local Arizona apartment specials read the article posted by the Arizona Republic on March 18, 2009. Read the article now.

One Bedroom in Central Phoenix for $390 a month

It is getting a bit crazy out there as apartments have many vacancies and they cannot lower their rent enough.
